Program Description:
The Foundation for Innovations in Nicotine Dependence (FIND)
was established as a resource to bring reliable information about
treatment for nicotine dependence to smokers and health 
professionals. FIND’s founder, Linda Hyder Ferry, MD, MPH, 
is an Associate Professor of Preventive Medicine and Family Medicine
at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She has extensive
expertise treating "hard core smokers".  Dr. Ferry was the originator 
of the idea of using bupropion (Zyban) to improve smoking cessation
(1991). Her original research on behavioral and medication treatment 
for nicotine dependence has brought her recognition as a leader in the
field of nicotine dependence.

The Palo Alto Center for Pulmonary Disease and Prevention offers
